Lauren is a Long Beach native with a gypsy soul. She has a sincere love for all things involving pregnancy, birth, Jesus, serving others, her kookie family, her fabulous friends, being crunchy, reading, traveling & music.
She makes a living as a doula, a yoga instructor and a childbirth educator... you can read more about that here: Emerging Birth Doula. It's unimaginable to her that she gets paid to be present at such precious moments in people's lives. What a joy!
Some may say she has a bleeding heart... that is most assuredly true. Her heart genuinely aches for women in the midst of struggles with sex/porn addiction, sexual abuse, depression, & body image and she enjoys mentoring women in these areas. She is blessed to be the Community Manager at Dirty Girls Ministries, & a mentor through The Good Women Project. She supports these ministries because they are honest & open about brokenness, express the need for grace & acceptance, and have encouraged her along her own journey toward healing & wholeness in Christ.
With an increasingly faithful belief in Christ's sovereignty she trusts in His ability to wash each of us clean, if only we'd let Him. Each moment is a learning experience, each day an opportunity for growth. She welcomes new life & love with open arms as God leads her through this journey of finding the beauty in the midst of breakdown...
